The meeting was called to order at 9:30 by Commissioner Goffena. Commissioner Borner and Berry were present.

Road and Bridge Supervisor Stockert gave his weekly report to the Commissioners. Mr. Stockert gave the Commissioners a letter they are going to send to the Coal Board requesting being able to purchase a reused and refurbished grader instead of a new one. All Commissioners agreed with the letter. The Commissioners are going to write a letter to property owners in regards to getting an agreement for a possible easement for the re-routing of #4 Road.  Pothole repairs are still going on.  The plant was out of hot mix last week but will have more this week.

Sheriff Thomas gave his weekly report to the Commissioners. There are 4 people in jail at this time.  Mr. Thomas gave the Commissioners 2 quotes for a new vehicle. Accounting Supervisor Angel joined the meeting and went over the car budget. The Commissioners gave permission for the least expensive quote.

Accounting Supervisor Angel met with the Commissioners to go over the preliminary budget.

DES Coordinator Russell gave his weekly report to the Commissioners. They are still working on getting a Federal or State Emergency Declaration. There is a PDM (pre disaster mitigation) update meeting on September 12, 2018. Mr. Russell gave the Commissioners a Commitment Letter to be signed but it was not discussed. They are working with Fish Wildlife and Parks regarding the fishing access at County property. Mr. Russell submitted the suggested schedule for the new part time Rural Addressing employee.

Brad and Patty Pfeiffer met with the Commissioners with a draft of the updated Musselshell County Rural Fire Administration Plan for review and to be put on the agenda October 1, 2018 for signature. They also submitted a SOP (standard operation procedure) requirements for volunteer membership and application process for Musselshell County Volunteer Fire Department.

There was no public comment.

Commissioner Borner was not present due to a meeting.

Commissioner Berry made the motion to make a decision that as soon as we hear from Hartford Insurance on how much they are going to pay for damaged windows, that there doesn’t have to be a meeting as long as 2 Commissioners agree on which window Company we are going to use. Commissioner Goffena seconded the motion and said they have to have blinds in the window. Motion carried. The Commissioners will not be meeting the 16th and hopefully this can get done as some as possible.

Commissioner Berry made the motion to approve and sign the Order to Cancel Uncollected Property Taxes and Personal Property Taxes in the amount of $25,908.94. Commissioner Goffena seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Commissioner Berry made the motion to approve and sign the Order to Cancel Uncollected Property Taxes and Personal Property Taxes in the amount of $1,400.92. Commissioner Goffena seconded the motion.  Motion carried.

Commissioner Berry made the motion to approve and sign Resolution 2018-17 rescinding Stage 1 Fire Restrictions. Commissioner Goffena seconded the motion.  Motion carried.

Commissioner Berry made the motion to suspend the rules to sign a Utility Easement from Hawk Creek VFD for a well. Commissioner Goffena seconded the motion.  Motion carried.
