ACCOUNTING SERVICE MANAGER
Work involves responsibility for recording and reporting financial operations for the County. Work includes planning, directing, coordinating and reporting various aspects of the financial program and is performed under direction of the Clerk & Recorder.
In detail, this department is responsible for the general ledger recording and reporting of balance sheets and revenue and expenditure accounts of all fund types reported by the County. This reporting will include, but will not be limited to, revenue and expenditure, budget and actual reports; trial balances; payroll; accounts payable; accounts and taxes receivable; fixed asset control; rural improvement accounting and management.
In addition, the department is responsible for a variety of bookkeeping and fiscal management duties; including planning, directing and coordination fiscal operations; managing the reporting system that controls expenditures and availability of funds for expenditures and prepares budget transfers. Prepares monthly close outs and annual financial reports after fiscal year closing; submits various reports to State and Federal offices; reconciles shared funding group insurance bank account; and administers deferred compensation plan.
