Residents of Musselshell County
As you all remember last winter was extremely difficult. The Road Dept. went over budget with the cost of fuel, wages and equipment costs in order to keep roads open. We did the best we could with the manpower and equipment we have.
Winter is coming time to plan is now.
We would like to warn /give you the heads up to make sure your livestock are where they can be reached for care, you have ample supplies, your work route and alternate lodging set up if needed when weather turns bad. Please remember and be aware that in Musselshell County we have limited resources and we all must be patient with and endure the potential of severe weather events.
The Road Dept. has a snow plowing policy and will stick to it this year with no exceptions in order to keep within our 2019 budget.
Snow removal priority list is as follows:
- School bus routes
- Heavy residential traffic
- Remaining County roads
Always have proper clothing and emergency supplies when you travel. Plan ahead.
