The meeting was called to order at 8:30 by Commissioner Pancratz. Commissioner Goffena and Commissioner Turley were present. County Attorney Krakowka and Norma Trent was also present

Commissioner Turley made the motion to approve the agenda, as amended Commissioner Goffena seconded. Motion carried.
Commissioner Goffena made the motion to approve the Minutes, from July 25th, 2025. Commissioner Turley seconded. Motion carried.
Public Comment: No Public Comment.
New Business:
- Commissioner Turley made a motion to table Work Order #10 for services to create an Agricultural Tract Exempt Survey. Commissioner Goffena 2nd the motion. Motion carried. After discussion with Jeremy Fadness with WWC, Commissioner Goffena made a motion to un-table Work Order #10, amending the proposal from 20 acres to 10 acres. Commissioner Goffena 2nd the motion carried.
- Commissioner Turley made a motion to table the Review and signing of Memorandum of Understanding with Randy Hafer regarding the two-month agreement to hold the sale of the Wier Building for proforma development. Commissioner Goffena 2nd the motion, motion carried.
Meetings:
Commissioner Pancratz and Commissioner Goffena attended a meeting with Road & Bridge Supervisor Stockert on Dean Creek Road. They reviewed the conditions of the county road and discussed county needs for gravel for maintenance. County Attorney Krakowka will be reviewing easements on private roads with public access.
The Compensation Board met and voted and approved a salary increase of $1.44 for all county employees, beginning July 1st, 2025.
County Agent Cooley updated that today is the final day of the 4-H Fair. The extension office is finalizing budgets for 2025-2026 fiscal year and looking for more funding for the fairgrounds. Work is continuing with funding opportunities being explored with the Ag Committee and grant opportunities with Signal Peak. Fairgrounds Coordinator discussion is going well.
Sheriff Lesnik gave his report to the Commissioners updating them on the Rehder fire and the position the department has open for detention officer applications.
DES Director Russell and DES Coordinator gave their update to the Commissioners. This week the Fire Council had a 4.1-acre fire on Rehder Rd, determined cause was a lighting holdover. Fire Staff Stations responded quickly along with BLM it was extinguished with minimal damage. Musselshell County responded to a mutual aid grass fire in Rose Bud County, caused by a downed powerline. FEMA has released notice of funding. The department is expected to receive reimbursement for the EMGP Grant through Swift Current for the purchase of the Busy Bee. Homeland Security Grant for the funding of the Dean Creek Repeater. House Bill 710 and HJ 62 are studying fuel mitigation projects and suppression tactics for fire prevention. The 911 Committee is setting rules and regulations as well as establishing protocols.
CHW Berg updated the Commissioners with the Opioid Grant being applied for. She has set a meeting with the Commissioners for next Wednesday August 6th.
Theresa Doumitt discussed Wier Building updates with the Commission. These discussions included the structural repair progress, the effects of Monday’s flooding, the timing and upcoming due dates for Phase 2 Construction and Roofing design, the completion and demobilization of the hazardous materials cleanup work, the proposed developer proposal and possible MOU, the design of the new roof for the Wier project, and the revised schedule and upcoming Change Orders from John Minock Enterprises.
