The meeting was called to order at 8:30 by Commissioner Pancratz.  Commissioner Goffena and Commissioner Turley were present.

Also present were County Attorney Krakowka and Roundup Record Rep. Norman Trent.

Pledge of Allegiance.

Commissioner Goffena made the motion to approve the agenda for the day. Commissioner Turley seconded the motion.  Motion carried.

Commissioner Turley made the motion to approve the agenda after a clarification on the meeting regarding Morrison & Maierle contract reduction. Commissioner Goffena seconded the motion.  Motion carried.

There was no public comment.

Commissioner Goffena made the motion to sign the Roundup Airport Award Recommendation for the Gate Replacement Project to Boundary Electric, submitted by KLJ.  Commissioner Turley seconded the motion.  Motion carried.

Commissioner Turley made the motion to sign the State of Montana Board of Crime Control Grant Award for the Victim Witness Advocate of Musselshell/Golden Valley Counties.  Commissioner Goffena seconded the motion.  Motion carried.

Commissioner Goffena made the motion to sign Resolution 2025-22 for the Road Department to apply for a Coal Impact Grant for various road related expenditures in the amount of $320,000.00. Commissioner Turley seconded the motion.  Motion carried.  The Commissioner will discuss this more with Road and Bridge Supervisor Stockert.

County Accounting Specials Marshall went over some budget issues with the Commissioners.

County Agent Cooley gave his weekly report to the Commissioners.  Budgets were gone over. There is a Fair Board meeting on Tuesday July 22, 2025 where they will be going over the Fair Board budget. They discussed getting log for spacers at the fairgrounds. Mr. Cooley is going to check on getting funding for grants that local producers can apply for to use new products and projects that are available.

Sheriff Lesnik gave his weekly report to the Commissioners. They all survived the 4th. There were a lot of calls regarding the fireworks. There are some final budget concerns.

John Albert came in regarding an incident that happened at Handle Park in Musselshell.  A large tree branch fell and almost hit a camper.  There are a lot of old trees that need trimmed.  The Commissioners will call someone to go look and give a quote.

DES Director Russell and Coordinator Rook gave their weekly report to the Commissioners. There were 2 new addresses given and 4 verified this week. There will be a GIS specialist looking at the data that has been inputted and sending it to the State.  There were several fires this week. Staff Stations have been allocated.  The Fire Council meeting went well.  The District Head of BLM was present and supplied a surplus list of equipment available. Budgets were discussed.

Treasurer Hetrick gave the Commissioners her quarterly reports and budget reconciliation for June, 2025.

John Thomas stopped to ask if there was any word of when the Busy Bee was going to be demolished.  The Commissioners have not heard anything yet. Mr. Thomas also asked if there was going to be another Dean Creek Road Townhall meeting.  The meeting will be on July 28, 2025 at 6:30.

Community Health Worker Berg gave her weekly report to the Commissioners. Ms. Berg has met with the Veterans Navigation Network in Billings and is hoping to set up a collaboration with them. Woking on grants to possibly get laptops for people to use to look for programs that would help them.

Ambulance Director Solberg gave his weekly report to the Commissioners. They also survived the 4th. The Rodeo event went well with only a few broken bones. The budget was discussed.

Theresa Doumitt met with the Commissioners with updates on the development work of the Wier Building.
