The meeting was called to order at 8:30 by Commissioner Goffena. Commissioner Turley was present. Commissioner Pancratz was absent due to illness.

Pledge of Allegiance.

Commissioner Turley made the motion to approve the agenda as is. Commissioner Goffena seconded the motion.  Motion carried.

Commissioner Turley made the motion to approve the minutes from the December 9, 2022 meeting as written. Commissioner Goffena seconded the motion.  Motion carried.

Commissioner Goffena and Commissioner Turley attended the LEPC meeting on December 13, 20922. Commissioner Turley will do the minutes:

Musselshell County Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) met December 13, 2022, with the following Depts: Tom Stockert  (Roads); Jason Bednar (Sheriff’s Dept.); Ron Solberg (Ambulance Services); Jim Vivirito (Ambulance Services); Valerie Russell (Roundup Memorial Hospital); Darren Rook (Dept of Emergency Services); Mayor Jones (City of Roundup); Sue Woods (Central Montana Health); Adam Larson (County Attorney) Mike Goffena (County Chairman) Mike Turley (County Commission), Justin Russell (Fire Depts). Meeting was led by Justin Russell. Ron Solberg stated that the East Repeater for Emergency Services is being installed. Ambulance services have had a record year for emergency responses. Jason Bednar stated that a 5yr Military training will be located near Lewistown which may increase local traffic. Val Russell indicated that the local Emergency Response Training session that was recently held with all departments went very well. Val further stated that the Hospital emergency generator is working well and that communication between departments is in local English and no longer in code. Mayor Jones stated that City Council will enact a Fireworks ordinance and city zoning changes. Justin Russell stated that County Road maps are updated, and that the Town of Musselshell is being provided updated addresses- or re-addressed. Chairman Goffena stated that funding for all depts is highly supported and local efforts are very much appreciated.

December 14, 2022, Commissioner Goffena and Commissioner Turley toured the Romick property.  They are considering getting an appraisal of the property to use for the Golden Thimble and/or Council on Aging.

Thursday December 15, 2022 Commissioner Goffena and Commissioner Turley met with Theresa Doumitt and the Contractors for the Welcome Center Kiosk.

Maintenance Supervisor Jett gave her weekly report to the Commissioners. They have been working on snow removal.  With the holidays falling on the weekends, if there is snow, they may wait until the day of returning to work to shovel.

No public comment.

Commissioner Turley made the motion to sign Certificate of Survey 2022-20 amending COS 2021-5 retracing the Right of Way in the North ½ of Section 1, Township 8 North, Range 27 East and the South ½ of Section 35, Township 9 North, Range 27 East submitted by Dowl for Montana Department of Transportation.  Commissioner Goffena seconded the motion.  Motion carried.

Commissioner Goffena made the motion to sign Certificate of Survey 2022-21RB in theNW4, SW4, of COS 1999-3A of Section 29, Township 8 North, Range 26 East Submitted by Robert Gustafson and David F. & Lerae D.  Vidil.  Commissioner Turley seconded the motion.  Motion carried.

There being no further business Commissioner Turley made the motion to adjourn. Commissioner Goffena seconded the motion.  Motion carried.

Thursday December 15, 2022 Commissioner Goffena and Commissioner Turley did the second run of claims for the month of December.

Claims for the second run of December = $141,512.66
