December 27, 2024 Minutes
The meeting was called to order at 8:30 by Commissioner Turley. Commissioner Pancratz and Commissioner Goffena were present.
Pledge of Allegiance.
Commissioner Goffena made the motion to approve the agenda for the day as is. Commissioner Pancratz seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Commissioner Pancratz made the motion to approve the minutes from the December 20, 2024 meeting as written. Commissioner Goffena seconded the motion. Motion carried.
All Commissioner attended the Musselshell County Council on Aging Board meeting Thursday, December 26, 2024. The Commissioners feel like they are making progress. They are trying to get more board members so they can have a quorum. Raising the fee for senior meals was discussed.

Commissioner Pancratz made the motion to sign Resolution 2024-38 Appointing Ben Krakowka as the Musselshell County Attorney. Commissioner Goffena seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Commissioner Goffena made the motion to sign the Commercial Lease Agreement for office space for Community Health Worker (CHW) Kellie Berg with Bushwill LLC. Commissioner Pancratz wanted to speak with Count Attorney Krakowka regarding a termination clause in the Contract. Commissioner Goffena amended his motion to table signing the contract. Commissioner Pancratz seconded the motion. Motion carried.
CFO Kirk met with the Commissioners to go over a few budget issues.
Theresa Doumitt met with the Commissioners to go over any updates with the Wier Building. They are waiting for appraisals for the three lots to the north of the building. Snowy Mountain Development Corporation informed us that the EPA received the concurrence letter needed from Shippo so we can get the Brownsfield grant and loan to do the hazmat cleanup of the building. There will be an information meeting on January 14, 2025 for the Request for Proposals (RFP).
County Attorney Larsen met with the Commissioners. Mr. Larsen gave the Commissioners 3 Letters of Commendation for employee Teresa Fauth, Tami Allen and William Labenz.
Sheriff Lesnik gave his weekly report to the Commissioners. There was an incident with the drone. One of the new dispatchers is off to training. The budget was discussed.
DES Director Russell and Coordinator Rook gave their weekly report to the Commissioners. There was a burn permit violation/citation this week. There will be a Fire Council meeting Thursday January 2, 2025 at 7:00 PM. Commissioner Pancratz made the motion to suspend the rules to sign the Memorandum of Understanding for the left-over ARPA funds to the Fairgrounds Drinking Water Project. Commissioner Goffena seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Community Health Worker (CHW) Berg gave her weekly report to the Commissioners. Ms. Bergis still waiting for an office to work out of.

There being no further business Commissioner Pancratz made the motion to adjourn. Goffena seconded the motion. Motion carried.
