January 31, 2022 Road Department meeting.
Road and Bridge Supervisor Stockert, Secretary Kenner, Commissioner Goffena and Commissioner Turley were present. They are cutting trees on Fishel Creek and Goffena Road. Blading done on Queens Point. On January 25, 2022 they did sanding on pavements.
February 4, 2022
The meeting was called to order at 8:30 by Commissioner Goffena. Commissioner Turley and Commissioner Pancratz were present.
Sheriff Lesnik was also present.
Pledge of Allegiance.
Sheriff Lesnik and County Attorney Peterson met with the Commissioners.
Commissioner Turley made the motion to approve the agenda as written. Commissioner Pancratz seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Commissioner Pancratz made the motion to approve the minutes from January 28, 2022 after adding “the property a resident is interested in buying from the County is in the 100 year floodplain.” Commissioner Turley seconded the motion. Motion carried.
The Road Department does not require a meeting on February 7, 2022 but they did give a report that was read. They are continuing work on the Goffena Road project and doing equipment repair, maintenance and inspections.
Commissioner Goffena and Commissioner Pancratz attended the Fire Council meeting on Thursday 2/3/22. There will be training for “line of command”.
Commissioner Turley attended the Hospital District meeting on Tuesday 2/1/22 and they went over the financials.
Commissioner Goffena and Commissioner Turley attended the LEPC meeting on 2/1/22. It was informative and very professional. They are working on Homeland Security Grants for new structures for the East and West repeaters and command trailer.
Sheriff Lesnik gave his weekly report to the Commissioners. They are going to have to replace the boiler at the jail and are going to look into going to propane. 2 new rifles were ordered. They did go with the new Verizon deal for the office. They will no longer have to give the deputies $20.00 a month for their phones. Mr. Lesnik went to the City Council meeting on Tuesday 2/1/22. The Interlocal Agreement was talked about but not settled.
Clerk & Recorder Tomassi met with the Commissioners to discuss what they are going to ask for the County owned property a resident was interested in. The Commissioners agreed on the assessed value of $4168.00.
DES Director Russell and Rural Addressing Assistant Gomez gave their weekly report to the Commissioners. They are working on the forms for the Homeland Security Grants. 1 new address was assigned, 2 are pending. There are 24 active COVID cases in Musselshell County.
Ambulance Director Solberg gave his weekly report to the Commissioners. There have been 3 more companies that are going to be putting bids in for the new County phone system. They will be addressing the “panic button” issue.

Commissioner Pancratz made the motion to sign the Updated Lease Agreement for the Musselshell County Commons. Commissioner Turley seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Commissioner Turley made the motion to sign the Updates Lease Agreement for the Musselshell County Food Bank. Commissioner Pancratz seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Commissioner Pancratz made the motion to sign the 2022-2023 MACo PCT Renewal Scheduled Property Acknowledgement Form. Commissioner Turley seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Commissioner Turley made the motion to sign the updated Memorandum of Understanding between Musselshell County Commissioners and Golden Valley County Commissioners to reallocate expenses and salary contributions for the County Attorney and his office. Commissioner Pancratz seconded the motion. Motion carried.
There being no further business Commissioner Pancratz made the motion to adjourn. Commissioner Turley seconded the motion. Motion carried.
The Commissioner did the first run of claims on Thursday 2/3/22 that totaled $174,222.30.
