Commissioner Borner Clerk & Recorder Tomassi and Mike Goffena were present.

No other public was present.

Pam Walling with MACo called in regarding rescheduling the Wellness Program that was cancelled due to COVID 19. Ms. Walling wants the Commissioners to decide on this fall or wait until next spring. They are also adding a new concept to the program called Healthy is Wellness. Ms. Walling will send more information and once there is a quorum the Commissioners can decide.

Elected Official Compensation Board meeting.

Present were:   Sheriff Lesnik, Dave Ponte, Deb Adolph, Justice of the Peace Marking, Treasurer Hetrick-member, Clerk & Recorder Tomassi-member, Clerk of Court Halverson-member, Commissioner Borner-member, Patty Pfeiffer-member and Derin Gebhardt-member. Member County Attorney Peterson was not present.

Commissioner Borner said the purpose of the meeting was to nominate one of the persons selected by the Musselshell County Republican Central Committee for the Commissioner of District 2. Selected by the committee were: Mike Goffena, Bryan Adolph and Jon Burns. Mr. Gebhardt made the motion to nominate Mike Goffena. Clerk & Recorder Tomassi seconded the motion. Motion carried. Mike Goffena is the Commissioner of District 2 and will be sworn in this afternoon by Judge Spaulding.

Sheriff Lesnik told the Commissioners that they hired a new Deputy.

DES Coordinator Harper gave his weekly report. They haven’t received the FEMA reimbursements yet, but Mr. Harper has a call in to them. The radios were funded but the Weather Station was not so they will have to take it out of the budget. There were 3 new addresses last week. Road signs come out of RAS budget.

Treasurer Hetrick gave the Commissioners the Cash Report for May and June and the Quarterly Report.

Judge Spaulding swore in Mike Goffena as Commissioner for District 2.

Public Hearing on the Preliminary Budget.

No public present.

Commissioner Borner said the only update as of now will be to take the $16,500.00 out of the DES budget since we did not get the grant for the Weather Station.

Commissioner Borner called a recess until the meeting until next Monday.

There was no public comment.

Commissioner Goffena made the motion to approve and sign first progressive estimate for payment to Knife River for the airport project after Interstate Engineering was called for clarification. Commissioner Borner seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Commissioner Goffena made the motion to review and sign the Contractors Gross Receipts Gross Withholding Return for the Roundup Airport project AIP #3-30-0066-015-2020. Commissioner Borner seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Discuss COVID-19 reimbursement money. They have to wait to see how much Musselshell County will be receiving.

Commissioner Goffena made the motion to approve and sign the Documents for the RFC/VFA Grant submitted by Fire Warden Russell. Commissioner Borner seconded the motion. Motion carried.

There being no further business the motion was made to adjourn. Motion carried.
