The meeting was called to order at 9:30 by Commissioner Goffena. Commissioner Borner and Berry were present.

Road and Bridge Supervisor Stockert and Secretary Kenner gave their weekly report to the Commissioners. Ms. Kenner asked if the County Attorney had given his opinion on a road access issue. The Commissioners told her that they were meeting with him at 4:00 to discuss the matter. Ms. Kenner gave the Commissioners a copy of an addition to the Accident and Injury Policy that states an accident investigation form must be filled out. There will be a copy put into all employees paychecks at the end of the month and into the Policy Manual. Ms. Kenner updated the department contact cards for the Commissioners. Fattig Creek hill was bladed.

Sheriff Thomas gave his weekly report to the Commissioners. All of the DNRC teams are moving out of the fairgrounds today.

Alex Huffield from KLJ called to tell the Commissioners that the add for bids for the EOC (emergency operations center) are going in the paper. The Pre-bid meeting will be on August 24 at 11:00 at the EOC building and the bid opening will be September 7, 2017 at 2:00 in the Commissioners Office.

Accounting Supervisor Angel met with the Commissioners. Forrest Sanderson with KLJ was present via phone. Ms. Angel had more questions about items that were billed to the County on past invoices and the most recent invoice. Mr. Sanderson said that he would have to look at the invoices and find out what the charges were. Ms. Angel told Mr. Sanderson to give all information to our Personal Representative Mark Qualman with Quest Services Corp.

Accounting Supervisor Angel, Treasurer Nelson and Deputy Treasure Hetrick met with the Commissioners to go over the 2017/2018 budget for the Treasurers Office. There will be an $1,115.00 increase due to extra hours, more mailings and postage. There may also be more training for Ms. Hetrick.

DES Coordinator Carlson gave his weekly report to the Commissioners. We remain in a Stage 2 Fire Restriction. There may be a Public Education meeting soon with DNRC and Fire Departments on reclamation of a fire incident. The County is not responsible for fixing property, fire lines or fences after a fire. The are also looking into the answer of how an absent land owner can sign off on a fire. Commissioner Borner asked that Mr. Carlson contact Nadine Wadsworth from the State DES Office and have her give the Commissioners guidelines of a County match in writing.

Brian Johnson and Jason Fitzgerald of Collaborative Designs met with the Commissioners. Brenda Vescovi, Natalie Hazelton Cheryl Goffena, Amy Angel and Kathy Pfister were present. Mr. Johnson asked the Commissioners to call Carl Jackson with KLJ and have him get the Site Survey Boundary to Mr. Johnson. Hopefully by next week. The Commissioners are meeting with Mr. Jackson August 14, 2017 and will discuss the matter. Mr. Johnson had the new Senior Center Conceptual Design Plans. They all went to the center to discuss any issues.

Linda Pichioni and Dave Liggett were present.

Item #1 to discuss employee vacation days was tabled after the discussion that MACo suggested raising salaries of the employee on a temporary basis to the County limit amount and then do a Memo to employees to use their vacation or lose it. They are going to visit with accounting to figure in the budget and to get the employee names and information. Executive decision.

Roundup Memorial Hospital CEO Brad Howell (representing the District Board) met with the Commissioners to update them on the Performance Budget and 2018 Fiscal Year Budget.

County Attorney Peterson met with the Commissioner with his opinion on a Road access issue.

There being no further business the motion was made to adjourn. Motion carried.
