The meeting was called to order at 9:05 by Commissioner Goffena. Commissioner Borner was present. Commissioner Berry will be in at 10:00.

The June 25, 2018 minutes were approved by Commissioners Goffena and Borner. Commissioner Berry was not present on June 25th so did not sign.  The minutes from the July 2, 2018 meeting were reviewed and approved by all Commissioners.

Clerk & Recorder Tomassi met with the Commissioners regarding an HR issue.

Road and Bridge Supervisor Stockert gave his weekly report to the Commissioners. Secretary Kenner was on vacation. They are continuing to work on roads. 4-H Road is open.

Commissioner Berry entered the meeting.

Sheriff Thomas gave his weekly report. They have hired a new deputy that used to work in Valley County. Mr. Thomas gave the Commissioners a letter from the United District Court Probation Office regarding a search.

Richard Sanders met with the Commissioners regarding restitution for his rental property that was damaged during an incident involving the Sheriff’s Department. Commissioner Berry told Mr. Sanders that they would talk to the County Attorney to determine what can and can’t be done and will get back to him.

DES Coordinator Fisher and Russell gave their weekly report to the Commissioners. They recommend moving into limited burning restrictions. Burn barrels and established burn pits only. This does not affect recreational fires. They are working on getting an extension for burning the purchased FEMA properties until the fall so fire isn’t a concern.

The Commissioners and Road and Bridge Supervisor Stockert went to Colony Road.

Leah Witke with the Safety Committee met with the Commissioners with a concern about the windows that were damaged by hail have not been covered.

Mark Qualman with Quest Service Corp. met with the Commissioners via telephone conference. Mr. Qualman asked the Commissioners to have the County Attorney send a letter to Cucancic Construction regarding the work that has not been completed at the Musselshell County Central Commons. Roger Schaad with Montana Made Projects will being repairing the roof on the 23rd of July.

No Public Comment.

Commissioner Borner made the motion to sign the Request for Informal Classification and Appraisal Review for County purchased FEMA Programs properties submitted by the Department of Revenue. Commissioner Berry seconded the motion.  Motion carried.

Maintenance Supervisor Jett met with the Commissioners to discuss boarding the windows that were damaged by hail. Ms. Jett told the Commissioners that she had only received 1 bid for the repair of the Courthouse north staircase. Lynnrich is going to be here Thursday the 19th to give a quote on the window replacement.
