The meeting was called to order at 8:30 by Commissioner Goffena. Commissioner Turley and Commissioner Pancratz were present.

Pledge of Allegiance.

Commissioner Pancratz made the motion to approve the agenda for the day as is. Commissioner Turley seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Commissioner Turley made the motion to approve the minutes from the April 16, 2021 and April 19, 2021 Road Department meeting as is. Commissioner Pancratz seconded the motion. Motion carried.

There were no board meetings.

Maintenance Supervisor Jett gave her weekly report to the Commissioners. The hot water heater at the Commons is going to be replaced. The grease inceptor also needs to be snaked.

Virgil Merfeld met with the Commissioners regarding Cameron Road. The Commissioners are going to hire an outside party to research the issue to end the question of whether it is a County Road or not. Mr. Merfeld had papers that say it has been worked on as a County Road for years.

Floyd Fisher met with the Commissioners to discuss a new camera system. Mr. Fisher will get a quote from Night Owl.

Sheriff Lesnik gave his weekly report to the Commissioners. Deputy pay and dispatch were discussed.

DES Coordinator Harper and Fire Warden Russell gave their weekly report to the Commissioners. They are looking into a new location for the South repeater. Burning is open for now. There was a slash pile burn that got away from the land owner. They are working with County Agent Solf to find a place for residents to put animals in case of a fire. Only 1 new address last week. They will start to interview for a seasonal employee.

County Agent Solf gave her weekly report to the Commissioners. There was a Fair Board update. Nicole Borner is now Chair, Jon Goffena is Vice Chair and Candie Stamp is now Treasurer. Stu Sanner had met with Ms. Solf about new lights for the arena. Ms. Solf gave the Commissioners a quote from Eric Eliasson for the new lights and will try to get them through Northwestern Electric Rebate Program. Ms. Solf gave the Commissioners a flyer for the Open Fair information. (available at the Courthouse or Extension Office)

Theresa Doumitt met with the Commissioners to see if there were any questions about the Draw Down for the Coal Board Grant that is on 3:00 business. Ms. Doumitt also invited the Commissioners to attend a meeting with the Roundup Community Partners.

Commissioner Pancratz made the motion to review and sign Certificate of Survey 2021-4RB for a boundary relocation in the NE4 of Section 10 and the W2 of Section 11, Township 9 North, Range 30 East submitted by Matthew McCleary. Commissioner Turley seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Commissioner Turley made the motion to approve and sign Draw Down #2 for Coal Board Grant CB-EP-21-0887 submitted by Theresa Doumitt/Roundup Memorial Hospital. Commissioner Pancratz seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Commissioner Pancratz made the motion to appoint Candie Stamp to the Fair Board. Commissioner Turley seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Commissioner Turley made the motion to hiring a “seasonal” position to put up signs for Rural Addressing. Commissioner Pancratz seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Commissioner Pancratz made the motion to adjourn. Commissioner Turley seconded the motion. Motion carried.
