February 28th, 2025

The meeting was called to order at 8:30 by Commissioner Pancratz. Commissioner Goffena and Commissioner Turley were present. County Attorney Krakowka and Norma Trent were present for the day.  Minutes were taken by Garilynn Rapp

Pledge of Allegiance.

Commissioner Turley made the motion to approve the agenda as amended. Commissioner Goffena seconded. Motion carried.

Commissioner Goffena made the motion to approve the Minutes, as amended from February 21st, 2025.  Commissioner Turley seconded. Motion carried.

No Public Comment.

No New Business:

Treasurer Hetrick visited with the Commissioners regarding tax deeds issued on a private road not being allowed by resolution 2007-23.

Sheriff Lesnik gave his weekly report to the Commissioners. They reviewed department purchased including inmate benches and 2 new Interceptors, to be taken delivery in 2026.

DES Director Justin Russell and DES Coordinator Darren Rook gave their update to the Commissioners. RAS had a new address assigned on Jeffery Mine Road. BLM has approved the West Repeater $450,000 State of Montana Tourism Grant reimbursement. Rural Fire Council has started ordering Fire Equipment to prepare for the Spring Fire Season. Packets are going out to Firefighters for Staffed Fire Stations.

Community Health Worker Berg gave her report to the Commissioners. She needs her brochures from Catalyst for Change.

Theresa Doumitt met with the Commissioners regarding the status of the Wier Building.

Public Comment:

David O. Turley came in to discuss a survey with the Commissioners.

With no Further Business to discuss, Commissioner Goffena made the Motion to adjourn, Commissioner Turley seconded the motion, motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 3:48 PM.
