The meeting was called to order by Commissioner Turley. Commissioner Pancratz and Commissioner Goffena were present.

Pledge of Allegiance.

*CLARIFICATION* In the June 16, 2023 Minutes, I put that Commissioner Goffena attended the Council on Aging Area II Executive meeting on Monday June 13, 2023.  Commissioner Goffena attended the Musselshell Council on Aging Executive meeting and NOT AREA II AGENCY ON AGING.  Sorry for the mistake. Also, it was never mentioned that anyone from the Council on Aging was retiring or stepping down. It was mentioned however they were possibly going to hire another individual to help the director but they are going to wait until the year end reports and finances are Available. Commissioner Pancratz made the motion to approve the agenda for the day as is. Commissioner Goffena seconded the motion.  Motion carried.

Commissioner Goffena made the motion to approve the minutes from the July 14, 2023 minutes after changing an error in grammar. Commissioner Pancratz seconded the motion.  Motion carried.

Commissioner Turley and Commissioner Goffena attended a Refuse Board meeting on Thursday July 20, 2023 where the contract with Republic was discusses and accepted but not signed.  The signing will be on August 1, 2023.

On Monday July17, 2023 Commissioner Turley and Commissioner Goffena toured North Delphia Road. Some culverts need repaired or replaced.

On Tuesday July 18, 2023 Commissioner Pancratz attended a Transportation Board meeting.  They approved the requests for reimbursement for students that live more than 3 miles from drop off.

All Commissioners looked at the old Hitching Post building as a possible place to use for the Golden Thimble.

Maintenance Supervisor Jett gave her weekly report to the Commissioners. They are working on replacing the flooring in the lady’s downstairs restroom. The Extension Office air conditioner is freezing up and they either need to look into getting more air conditioners or getting air installed.

Sheriff Lesnik gave his weekly report to the Commissioners. Judge Spaulding also visited. There are 6 in jail today.  They have not received any applications for the Jailer position or the Deputy position. They are also going to be needing a Youth Probation Officer.

DES Director Russell and Coordinator Rook gave their weekly report to the Commissioners. There were 2 new addresses this week. They should be finishing up with the County maps.  All new roads have been entered into the system. Open burning is closed.

Airport manager Kelly Gebhardt visited with the Commissioners regarding a host vehicle at the airport. The State awarded $5,000.00 towards the vehicle.

Mayor Jones met with the Commissioners with a possible site for junk vehicles to be stored until they can be taken away.

Public comment:

Theresa Doumitt was present for the signing of the draw down request for the Coal Board grant. There will be a Coal Board meeting on September 14, 2023 and Ms. Doumitt would appreciate it if a Commissioner would attend.

Commissioner Pancratz made the motion to sign Certificate of Survey 2023-8RB in Section 10, 15, 22 and 26, Township 9 North, Range 29 East submitted by Sanderson Stewart for Central Holdings, LLC. Commissioner Goffena seconded the motion.  Motion carried.

Commissioner Goffena made the motion to approve and sign Coal Board Draw 5 documents for the RMH Generator Phase 2 Project. Commissioner Pancratz seconded the motion. Motion carried.

There being no further business Commissioner Pancratz made the motion to adjourn. Commissioner Goffena seconded the motion.  Motion carried.
