The meeting was called to order at 8:30 by Commissioner Turley.  Commissioner Pancratz and Commissioner Goffena were present.

Pledge of Allegiance.

Commissioner Goffena made the motion to approve the agenda as is.  Commissioner Pancratz seconded. Motion carried.

Commissioner Pancratz made the motion to approve the August 25th, 2023, minutes as written. Commissioner Goffena seconded the motion.  Motion carried.

All Commissioners attended the public Mine Meeting on August 30th.

Maintenance Supervisor Jett gave her update to the Commissioners. Heating/cooling at the courthouse was discussed.

DES Director Justin Russell and DES Coordinator Darren Rook gave their update to the Commissioners. The Dept is finalizing DOJ grants. No new rural address applications this week. One fire was suppressed, burning less than an acre on Bender Road. DES equipment needs were discussed.

County Attorney Larsen visited with the Commissioners. The Middle Musselshell Water District Board Appointment has been advertised in the newspaper, a meeting with public comment will be held after the 15th of September.

Sheriff Lesnik gave his weekly report to the Commissioners. The Sheriff’s Office has an open position in dispatch and 2 open deputy positions. They are currently accepting applications.

CFO Kirk and Linda Yount updated the Commissioners on the 2023-2024 Refuse Budget.

No Public Comment

Commissioner Pancratz made the motion to sign Resolution 2023-46. A Resolution to receive the DNRC Financial Capacity Support for Musselshell County Fire Warden and Rural Fire Chiefs in the amount of $17,103.07. Commissioner Goffena seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Commissioner Goffena made the motion to sign the Resolution 2023-42 Amending Claim Days that are on the Resolution 2023-3.

Commissioner Turley made a motion to sign the Gravel Purchase Agreement and Sale Agreement for the road department. Commissioner Pancratz seconded the motion, motion carried.

There being no further business Commissioner Pancratz made the motion to adjourn. Commissioner Goffena seconded the motion.  Motion carried.
