Commissioner Meeting:
The Meeting was called to order by Commissioner Borner, Commissioner Goffena was present. Mike Turley was present. Secretary Hagstrom was not present. Minutes were taken by Commissioner Borner.
Pledge of Allegiance.
Commissioner Goffena made the motion to approve agenda as is. Commissioner Borner seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Commissioner Goffena made motion to approve Sept 21st minutes. Commissioner Borner seconded the motion, no public comment, motion carried.
Commissioner Borner had MHC meeting on Friday 25th. The board is restructuring the organization due to loss in Yellowstone County Safety Mill levy revenue. She discussed the importance of the satellite office for mental health services in Musselshell County and the need to keep MHC as our provider
Airport/Interstate Engineering report
John Bach and Veronica Meyer from Interstate Engineering, Craig Kind from Knife River and Mike Turley were present. Update on progress of project, weather is staying favorable. Project moving along.
Road Dept: Tom Stockert gave report to Commissioners. Discussed building for road equipment. Tom gave an update on the safety concerns regarding the Bobcat fire, he is working with Fire Warden to address the problems. Also discussed the communication issues during the fire and those are being worked on as well.
Tom gave an update on the last concerns on the Old Divide MFLAP grant. He is working with Century over the guardrail issues.
Tom also discussed with commissioners the ‘problem child’ truck and keeping it for the water trailer. Discussion of water well for Road Dept.
Sheriff Lesnik discussed his budget with Commissioners, bought new body cams for deputies, working on purchasing new vehicle. Commissioner Goffena asked about forensic audit. Commissioner Borner discussed the CB grant for PAR for the impound/coroner’s building.
DES: Andrew Harper and Justin Russell: Gave weekly report. Harper visited with DEQ/AML Scott Graham on mitigation project and disc golf design. Justin discussed the safety and communications concerns during the Bobcat fire. There will be an After-Action official meeting in October.
Harper met with Team Rubicon and landowners affected by fire. Supplies were delivered to fire victims and coordinating 58 tons of hay for fire victims.
Harper shared with the commissioner the RFP advertisement for the PDM.
Treasurer Hetrick discussed the properties taken on back taxes. She discussed with the Commissioners the School taking their money out of the county and the process as they proceed forward.
Her new employee will start of Friday.

Commissioner Goffena made the motion to sign Contractors Application for Payment #3 submitted by Knife River. Commissioner Borner seconded the motion. Motion carried
Goffena made motion to sign Contractors Gross Receipts Withholding Return. Commissioner Borner seconded the motion. Motion carried.
There being no further business the motion was made to adjourn. Motion carried.
