Open Riding at Musselshell County Fairgrounds

There will be open riding beginning at the arenas at the Musselshell County Fairgrounds now through the end of September. Open riding will be available on Tuesdays and Thursdays 8 am – 9 pm. The West gate (newer bridge) will be the access point on these days. The first couple of days for open riding will be on Tuesday, July 12th and Thursday, July 14th. The week of July 16th-23rd will not be available for open riding due to the 4-H and Youth Fair. The next dates will be Tuesday, July 26th and Thursday, July 28th. It is important that users of the facility understand that there will be other riders of age and experience. Experienced riders must “watch out” for novice riders and children. Copies of the Montana equine activity liability act will be posted for users to see. Users must remain flexible in the case that an event is scheduled on a Tuesday/Thursday or if an emergency occurs which requires the use of the fairgrounds. If you have further questions, please contact the MSU Musselshell-Golden Valley Extension Office at (406)323-2704.
