The Musselshell County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for the position of Communications Officer. This job opening will close on May 8th, 2024, all applications must be received on or before this date. The Musselshell County Sheriff’s Office is seeking an individual that wants to work with Team Musselshell.  The Communications Officer primary job is to receive emergency incoming calls, evaluate the information received, and then dispatch appropriate Law Enforcement, EMS, and Fire apparatus to the correct location of the emergency.  The Communication Officer should possess good communication skills, strong grammar and writing skills, and be able to work and communicate well with the public.  A Communications Officer often works independently and is required to make independent decisions.  Other tasks include timely data input in the Record Management System, clear communication skills on the radio system, good listening skills, and the ability to manage stressful situations.  The position offers a standard compensation benefits package, including Medical, the Public Employee Retirement System, paid vacation and sick leave, and a desirable work schedule, top of the line equipment, training opportunities,
